The vision for Scotch College is to have a learning community with an international standard of excellence in which they can develop young men with strength of character, self-understanding, a passion for sustained learning and spiritual inquiry who will become active members of the global community.

Scotch College aims to not only support academic excellence but to provide a balance between a student’s intellectual, physical, emotional, relational and spiritual needs.

The school was founded as a Presbyterian school for boys in 1897 and has approximately 200 Junior School boys from Years 1 to 5, 500 Middle School boys in Years 6 to 8 plus 800 boys in the Senior School from Years 9 to 12, including 170 boarders.
